Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport is Rome’s main airport and the largest in Italy. It is located 30 km (18 miles) from the capital city and has two active terminals: Terminal 1, the ITA Airways hub, for domestic and Schengen flights, and Terminal 3 for non-Schengen and intercontinental flights.

Regional trains

If you’re heading to a station in Rome other than Termini, Trenitalia’s FL1 regional trains are your best bet for taking the train there from the airport. These trains depart from the airport with a similar frequency to the Leonardo Express, with quarter-hourly departures from Monday to Friday and half-hourly departures on Sundays and bank holidays.

Fiumicino Airport Terminal 3 train station

The train station at Fiumicino Airport is located directly opposite Terminal 3, and is accessible via lifts, escalators and sign-posted walkways.

Getting from the station to T3

Direct access is via a pedestrian walkway. Once you collect your bags, follow the signposts for the station until you reach the tracks.

Getting from the station to T1

Go to the first floor of Terminal 3, exit through entrances 1 or 2, and follow the covered external walkway to your terminal.

Bus to Fiumicino Airport
