Marche Airport – formerly Ancona Falconara Airport – is the airport serving Ancona and the Marche region of central Italy. It is also known as Raffaello Sanzio, and is a small but highly functional airport.
Operating from a single terminal, Ancona Airport is served by Lufthansa and six low-cost airlines with connections to major Italian and European destinations. It is located about 18 km (11 miles) from Ancona and offers excellent train connections to the city via both bus links and the Castelferretti-Falconara Airport train station. Castelferretti–Falconara Airport train station
Ancona Airport train station – officially called Castelferretti–Falconara Airport – is located just in front of the airport and can be easily reached on foot in about three minutes. You can reach destinations on the Adriatic coast – Falconara and Ancona – and the Tyrrhenian Coast – Jesi, Fabriano, Rome – from Castelferretti–Falconara station.
The station has two platforms, and services to Ancona can range from 20 to 40 minutes in duration. It’s worth noting that the station does not have many facilities: there are no information points, dining options or restrooms.

Ancona Airport by bus
You can also opt for a bus service when travelling to and from Ancona Airport. This is operated by the Raffaello Aerobus, and links Ancona train station to the airport between 07:00 and 22:30 each day, with departures in both directions departing every half an hour.
Ticket prices are slightly higher than the train, but still quite affordable: bus tickets to Falconara cost €3.30 (about £2.90), or €5.50 (about £4.80) to Ancona.
