Trenitalia Regional trains
Train connections to and from Trieste Airport station are operated by Trenitalia and Italo. However, Trenitalia Regionali trains are the cheapest and most frequent. These depart from Trieste Central every day from 04:26 to 22:00. “Regionali” and “Regionali veloci” trains cover the 29 km (18 miles) to the airport in about 28 minutes, without changes.

Trieste Airport train station
Trieste Airport station is separate to the terminal and is located in the airport’s intermodal transport hub, which also hosts bus stops and parking. You can access it from the ground floor of the airport terminal via a covered pedestrian walkway at about an 8-minute walk.
On the ground floor of the terminal, you’ll find the Arrivals and Departures halls, check-in, and gates (with some also on the mezzanine level). You'll find information desks, restrooms, ATMs, car hire desks, and a shopping area offering everything you need for a pleasant wait: a bar, gourmet market, duty-free shopping, and a VIP lounge.
The first floor houses the conference room, a prayer area, and additional bars and restaurants.

Trieste Airport by bus
In addition to train links, Trieste Airport is also served by an extensive network of regional and long-distance buses – making travelling to and from here by public transport super flexible.
The bus station is accessible from the ground floor of the terminal via a covered pedestrian walkway.
These connect the airport to the main cities in the region, including Trieste, Udine, Gorizia, Monfalcone, Grado, and Cervignano del Friuli.
