The main railway station for arriving at Newcastle University is Newcastle Central Station. Alternatively, Manors railway station is another smaller local station that serves the Quayside and Shieldfield area of Newcastle, and is just a 20-minute walk from Newcastle University.
Central Station is located in the heart of Newcastle city centre on Neville Street, and is the main stop on the East Coast Main Line. The station offers links to popular destinations such as London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Liverpool, as well as bus and metro connections to stops including Newcastle airport. The easiest way to get from Newcastle Central Station to Newcastle University is by Metro. Just ride the Tyne and Wear Metro from Central Station for two stops until you reach Haymarket, right across from the campus.
