Make the most of your Europe trip with Eurostar discount
Aside from the hefty savings, one of the best things about the Eurostar sale is the wide range of dates you can travel - from 19th January 2026 right up until 25th March 2026. Just don't forget that this is a flash sale and tickets are available to book for just 7 days. So be quick!
Luckily, you don't need a discount code or anything like that - the saving is automatically applied when you search on TrainPal. Here's some inspiration to help you decide where to go:
January blues
Once the Christmas season is over, January (and February) can be a bit of a drag. So why not use the Eurostar sale to book in a cheap European city break or two? A trip to Brussels or Amsterdam will give you something to look forward to during the darker months, plus hotels are usually cheaper at this time of year.
Valentine's Day
Nothing says "Je t'aime" more than whisking your partner away on the train to Paris for Valentine's Day. And, with the Eurostar sale, you can save a lot on your romantic getaway - that gives you a bit of extra cash to splash on a romantic candlelit dinner overlooking the Seine.
Early spring breaks
Make the most of the cheap Eurostar tickets and book a budget-friendly getaway. The slightly longer days give you more time to explore the old town in Lille or to visit the iconic windmills in Kinderdijk, just 30 minutes from Rotterdam.
Essential travel guide for first-time Eurostar passengers
If you've not travelled on the Eurostar before, you'll be pleased to know that it's way simpler than flying - it's a train, after all, and St Pancras Station is certainly not Heathrow or Gatwick. Here are a few pointers and tips to keep in mind when it comes to UK to Europe train travel.
Check-in and border control
You'll go through immigration for France, Belgium and the Netherlands before you board at London St Pancras International - meaning there's no stress when you get off the train in Europe. Arrive 60 minutes before departure, with a valid passport and remember to check entry requirements for your nationality. UK citizens need to complete the ETIAS travel authorisation before travelling.
Luggage
Eurostar is way more generous than airlines when it comes to bags - you can board with two larger suitcases (up to 85cm long) and one small piece of hand luggage. Best of all, there are no weight restrictions. This makes Eurostar a great choice for longer trips and if you plan to do some shopping in the January sales.
Travelling with children
There are discounted fares for children aged 4 to 11, while little ones under 4 go for free as long as they don't take up a seat. Remember, all passengers need to have their own passports. Onboard, you'll find family-friendly seating, space to store pushchairs and baby changing facilities. So you can go ahead and take your kids to the Christmas markets safe in the knowledge you'll have a comfortable and hassle-free journey.
Pets
Only assistance dogs can travel on Eurostar services to and from the UK. If you want to take your pet to Europe, you'll need to look at other options like ferry and car or flying.
Food and drink
The Eurostar Café serves light meals, snacks and drinks throughout the journey, with everything from sandwiches to pastries and coffee available. You're also welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks on board - there are plenty of places to pick up snacks in St Pancras, too. On London routes, Eurostar Plus passengers enjoy a choice of two delicious dishes and drinks served at your seat.
Wi-Fi and charging
Forget roaming charges or running out of battery - there's Wi-Fi available throughout the train with plug sockets to charge your phone, tablets or laptop at all seats.
