Peckham Rye train station

Peckham Rye station is a major south-east London interchange for mainline rail services and the London Overground. The train station is between Denmark Hill and Nunhead on the Catford loop line from central London to Sevenoaks, between Queens Road Peckham and East Dulwich on the Portsmouth line with connections to Streatham and Sutton, and between Denmark Hill and Queens Road Peckham on the London Overground Windrush line.

Peckham Rye was designed by Charles Henry Driver, who was also the architect behind Denmark Hill and Battersea Park stations, as well as the Italian Gothic Abbey Mills pumping station. It opened in 1865, introducing additional services from the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway the following year. Peckham Rye station now has covered waiting areas on platforms (plus a heated waiting room on platform 3), refreshment facilities and machines to buy train tickets. A ticket office is also available 06:10–19:45 Monday to Saturday and 07:45–16:20 on Sunday.

Getting to and from Peckham Rye

There are several bus routes (as well as night buses N63 and N343) serving Peckham Rye station; some stop at the nearby bus station. The station doesn’t have a car park or taxi rank. Cyclists can use a stand in the cycle hub next to the station entrance. There are 84 spaces.
