Industrial action impacts CrossCountry services across the entire network
Period:Saturday, November 1 to Saturday, November 1

Related Information:Industrial action by the RMT union is planned to take place at CrossCountry on Saturday 1 November. Service will be significantly disrupted on this date.
Customer advice:
The following routes will have no service:
Penzance / Plymouth / Paignton and Bristol.
Cardiff and Gloucester.
Birmingham / Leicester and Cambridge / Stansted Airport.
Derby and Nottingham.
Edinburgh and Glasgow / Aberdeen.
The following routes will have an extremely limited service:
Bristol and Birmingham.
Reading and Birmingham.
Birmingham and Derby.
Birmingham and Manchester.
Newcastle and Edinburgh.
Services will also start later and finish much earlier, with the last services terminating by around 18:00.
Some services will extend from Derby to York, from Reading to Bournemouth, and from Newcastle to Darlington.
Engineering work is planned over the weekend, which will also impact which CrossCountry services will run, including around Coventry, Ely and York.
Ticket easements:
Tickets dated for travel on Saturday 1 November are valid for travel from Friday 31 October up to and including Tuesday 4 November. This applies to customers completing their rail journeys wholly with CrossCountry, as well as journeys to, from or via CrossCountry services and connecting operators.
Additional information:
The strike action coincides with the opening of Christmas markets in some places on the CrossCountry network, with town and city centres expected to be particularly busy.

Advance tickets
If you've booked with us and your train is cancelled or rescheduled, you can get a free refund online.
If trains are still running on strike days but you choose to cancel your journey, you may have to pay an administration fee. Watch for train change alerts in the TrainPal App.
If the system does not confirm changes to your train journey, please contact our customer support for assistance with your refund.
Flexible tickets
If your train is unaffected by the strike but you change your plans, you can reschedule your journey or cancel it(but may have to pay an administration fee).
