Great Northern: King’s Lynn to London trains

Getting from King’s Lynn to London takes around one hour and fifty-two minutes with Great Northern.

On your journey, you’ll head west and pass through the counties of Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire before entering Greater London. You’ll then ride on towards London Kings Cross in Inner London.

Great Northern operates from London Kings Cross and London Moorgate stations, serving destinations like Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Ely, Cambridge, and King’s Lynn.

Departing from King’s Lynn

King’s Lynn Station is situated on Blackfriars Road, near the town centre and not far from Lynn Museum. The station serves as the northern terminus of the Fen Line that links Cambridge to King’s Lynn. Great Northern exclusively serves King’s Lynn Station.

The station is easily accessible from the town through local buses and taxis. If you prefer, you can also walk from the town centre.

Arriving at London Kings Cross

The train from King’s Lynn arrives at London Kings Cross, located on Euston Road in the Borough of Camden. It is the southern terminus of the East Coast Mainline, establishing it as one of the UK’s most central railway hubs. It connects the capital with the east of England, such as York and Newcastle, and the east of Scotland, like Edinburgh.

It’s a very well-connected station. It’s only a two-minute walk to St Pancras International Station, and London Euston is further up the road if you have ongoing rail connections. Kings Cross also has a London Underground Station (also named Kings Cross) that serves the Circle, Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City and Victoria lines. Taxis and bus routes are also available outside the station along Euston Road.

If you’re in the mood to go sightseeing in the capital, then you’re in luck. The British Library, The Wellcome Collection, Regent’s Park, Camden, and the British Museum are all within walking distance.
