Firenze Santa Maria Novella - sometimes referred to as Firenze SMN - is the main railway station in Florence, and it’s therefore the most convenient arrival point when you’re visiting. The station is located on the edge of the city’s centre, meaning you can walk to major sights such as the Duomo, Piazza della Repubblica and Basilica di Santa Maria Novella. Once you step off the train, you’re immediately connected to taxis, buses and walking routes into the city.
