About Rosaline Nancy Kargbo

I’m a copywriter and translator based in London. My interest in rail travel began in childhood. We mostly travelled around by bus or coach as a family, so the rare outings on the Tube and longer train rides felt extra special. Over 550 UK journeys later, it’s still my favourite way to travel. Some of my most memorable destinations include Windermere in the Lake District and Seaford to hike the Seven Sisters. I’ve also lived in France, Austria and Japan, where I clocked up plenty of miles commuting and exploring different regions on the Parisian RER, Shinkansen bullet train, and more. When I’m not at my desk, you’ll often find me listening to music, at a gig or on a run.

My top money-saving tip for train travel in the UK

“You’re most likely still eligible for a Railcard no matter your age, so explore your options. It’s the best way to get cheaper fares, and you can even save the cost of the Railcard on the first journey.”
