Newcastle Airport trains are operated by Tyne and Wear Metro and provide a convenient link to Newcastle station, which is a 25-minute ride away from Newcastle International Airport. Follow the signs on the station concourse for the Metro and hop on the Green line on platform 2 towards Newcastle Airport Metro station. Metro services run up to five times an hour between 05:53 and 23:31 during weekdays, 06:21 and 23:31 on Saturdays and 06:41 and 23:31 on Sundays. Prices for the Metro vary based on the number of zones you travel in. Newcastle Airport Metro is in zone C, and travel to/from Newcastle station would require a ticket covering three zones.
