Watford Junction: Getting to the platform

Ideal for commuters, Watford Junction station is an easy 15-minute walk from the town centre. You can also reach the station by bus or have a cab drop you off at the dedicated taxi rank.

• Platform guide: Watford Junction has 11 platforms. If you’ve got a ticket for the London Overground, the operator typically uses bay platforms 1–4. Services run by West Midlands Trains tend to depart from platform 7 or 9. Double-check the departure boards and leave enough time to get to your platform.
• Pre-boarding facilities: Pick up the essentials from WHSmith and warm up with a coffee, tea or matcha from Costa. London Overground passengers should note that there are no toilets on board. Toilets at Watford Junction are located on platform 6 and open 04:00–23:00. The National Key toilets on the main concourse require a RADAR key and are open 04:00–14:00 from Monday to Saturday and 06:00–14:00 on Sunday.
