About Brenda Jude

If there’s a train to catch, chances are I’ve either taken it, researched it, or at the very least checked the timetable twice. I’ve booked thousands of train tickets and travelled enough rail miles to know that the UK rail network has its quirks, but also plenty of clever ways to make it work in your favour.

What started as everyday commuting gradually turned into a genuine fascination with rail travel. These days, I share practical, commuter-tested tips to help travellers find better fares, plan smarter routes, and chart the rail network with a bit more confidence and ideally fewer last-minute platform sprints.

My top money-saving tip for train travel in the UK

“Sometimes the cheapest fare isn’t at your nearest station. A quick Tube hop to an alternate London terminus can cut costs significantly. A few extra minutes walking or riding can be the difference between an expensive journey and a cleverly executed savings hack.”
