Departing from Leamington Spa station

Leamington Spa is a compact railway station making navigation quite straightforward. Located just a short 10-minute walk from the town centre, there are also several parking options nearby if you’re driving. Additionally, local bus routes stop on Old Warwick Road.

The station is made up of just two platforms, connected by an overhead walkway:

• Finding your platform: Chiltern Railways services heading to London primarily depart from Platform 2 – Platform 1 is usually reserved for northbound services.
• Pre-departure bites: As there is no catering on Chiltern Railways services, why not grab a bite at a nearby cafe? Legend Cafe & Restaurant is situated on the station approach for quick, friendly service at breakfast or lunch.

Onboard trains from Leamington Spa to London Euston

The journey from Leamington Spa to London is characterised by The Three Valleys – the Cherwell, the Thame and the Misbourne.

• Best trainside views: Shortly after departure, the train descends into Cherwell Valley for views of the Oxford Canal. About 45 minutes in, you’ll enter an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty: the Chiltern Hills. And as you enter the outer London suburbs, you’ll swap greenery for the capital’s skyline – enjoy a closeup view of Wembley Stadium.
• Best side to sit on: Sit on the left side of the train for best views of the Chiltern Hills and the Wembley Arch. Don’t worry if you end up on the right – from here, you’ll enjoy better views of the canal.

Arriving at London Euston station

Before you arrive at your final destination, your Chiltern Railways train will pull into London Marylebone. Just take the Bakerloo Line to Oxford Circus and then change for the Victoria Line to Euston.

Once you arrive at the Euston Underground station beneath the main concourse, you can either access the Northern Line or head upstairs to make it to your next stop.

• Main Plaza Exit: The glass front doors of the station will take you onto the station plaza, leading directly to the bus station and Euston Road.
• Side exits: Eversholt Street (east) and Cardington Street (west) exits will bring you to local hotels and offices.

If you need Circle, Hammersmith & City or Metropolitan Tube lines, head to Euston Square Underground station about a 5-minute walk west along Euston Road. You’ll also find Euston Bus Station right in front of the main plaza exit for links to Paddington and Kings Cross – these stations are also just a 10-minute walk east. Follow ‘Taxis’ signs down the stairs or lifts from the main concourse to find the underground taxi rank.
