In the Andalucian region of Spain, you can find the city of Cádiz, which is essentially a long, narrow island off the west coast of Spain—much like Manhattan in New York. Just north of Gibraltar, the entire city of Cádiz is a little over 4 miles (6.4 km) long. From its fascinating architecture to cosy cafes, you’re sure to find something to love in the breathtaking and historically rich city of Cádiz. When you take a train to Cádiz, you’ll likely disembark at the Cádiz train station, the central town station that services long-distance, mid-distance, and local trains. Located on the east side of Cádiz, often called the bayside, the train station is just off Plaza de Sevilla, near the port. Make sure you give yourself time to find the station, its entrance, and the train platforms since it can be confusing at first. On the Plaza de Sevilla, you will see the three-story red brick customs building that says “Aduana” right on the front. Behind that building is the old train station, and behind that building is where the trains leave from. The station is about 0.7 miles (1.2 km) from the city centre, otherwise known as the Old Town, where most of the hotels are clustered. Travel from the city centre of Cádiz to the train station Cádiz is possible via train, bus, taxi, and walking. From Cádiz train station, you can travel all over Cádiz and Spain, and get trains with connections throughout Europe

International Airport of Jerez de la Frontera

26 miles

The airport can be reached from the station in about 42 minutes via the medium-distance train or in about 57 minutes via the Cercanias train (C-1)
