Pisa S. Rossore Station

The Pisa S. Rossore train station opened in 1871 and replaced an older station that was in a different part of the city. The station was completely rebuilt after being damaged in World War II. The station’s unique architecture features enormous arches in the entryway and smaller arched windows on the upper level. Sixteen platforms span the station, and it is a major hub for rail service in Italy. In your travel from Pisa city centre to Pisa S. Rossore train station, when you arrive at the station, you are around 1.9 miles (3.2 km) from the city centre. It’s easy to get to the train station in Pisa via line one, and it connects the Piazza Dei Miracoli. Taxis run daily outside the station, but know that traffic can be heavy depending on when you travel. It’s much cheaper to use public transport to get all around the area.
