Vauxhall train station

Vauxhall is a popular rail, Tube and bus interchange at the Vauxhall Cross junction. Located near the approach to Vauxhall Bridge over the River Thames, the station is on the South West Main Line and is the first stop after its terminus in London Waterloo. Trains head towards Clapham Junction and the South West. Originally known as Vauxhall Bridge station when it opened in 1848, Vauxhall station didn’t get its current name until 1862. The station was almost completely destroyed by a large fire and had to be rebuilt in 1856. During the early 20th century, Vauxhall station was a major stop for London’s milk deliveries from across the country.
